Over recent years groups of churches in various parts of Victoria – Whitehorse, Yarra Ranges, Bendigo etc – have joined together to provide winter shelter to people who are homeless. These ecumenical endeavours use church facilities where volunteers offer meals and a safe and friendly overnight environment.
At 7.30pm, on Tuesday 5 October, by zoom, the Canterbury Council of Churches will host Jenny Willetts, the founder of this movement in Victoria, to speak about this exciting and blessed development. Please send an email to Lyn to receive a link to engage with Jenny that evening.
