Along with a number of our member organisations including Jesuit Social Services/CAPSA, Brigidine Asylum Seeker Project and Xavier Social Justice Network, CSSV is supporting this year’s Palm Sunday Action. We hope you can join us at this event to show solidarity and support for people who have sought refuge in Australia and continue to suffer under inhumane refugee policies.

Date: Sunday 13 April 2025
Time: 1.00-3.30pm
Location: Melbourne Victoria – Princes Bridge to Tom’s Block, St Kilda Rd (opposite the Victorian College of the Arts)
In 2025 the action will take a new format as below:
> 1.00pm – Banner Display on Princes Bridge, followed by walk to Tom’s Block
> 1.45pm – arrive at Tom’s Block – music by Melbourne Mass Gospel Choir
> 2.00-3.00pm – Program of music and speakers including refugees and Gillian Triggs AC, formerly Australian Human Rights Commissioner and UNHCR Commissioner. MC: Tom Ballard
>3.00-3.30pm – Music continues, information stalls and activities
BYO picnic rug or chair – these can be dropped at Tom’s Block from 12 noon if you are participating in the Banner Display and Walk.
